Something to share

I have a little something to share. It seems our fight for Irina is not yet over. Our overseas attorney took our request back (for the 3rd time) to the MOJ on Tuesday. We were once again denied. Our attorney is fired up over this, that she has asked us if we will agree to allow her to go to court and fight this for us. I mean, really? You had to ask? ūüôā Sooooo… long story short,¬†this¬†angel is taking our case to court to fight for Irina’s life, and to give her a chance for her to have a family with us. We would appreciate any and all prayers! Our fight for Irina may just help to change things in her country, and give these kids a chance!

A humbling request…

I am incredibly humbled that I am having to ask for donations to help us with financing our adoption. I’m very good at helping others fundraise, but when it comes to asking for me, I struggle. However, we now need a¬†some help. We want to bring 2 children out of the nightmare they are currently living in, but we have to come up with a considerable amount of money to help make that happen. The cost to the overseas¬†foundation that is working on making this happen is an additional $8000, and then there will be travel costs for 2 children, and extra time spent in country when we go pick them up. We need to raise $10,000, and we are humbly asking for help. I know times are very hard for everyone right now, but we are praying you will find it in your hearts to help. Every dollar helps us bring these children home to live the kind of life we were all born into. If you can help, the chip in button on the right is how you can donate. Click the donate button, and it will take you to our paypal account. You do need a paypal account to donate this way. I also plan to set up a separate bank account to accept donations and will post the information here when I have the information. It should be the end of this week. Thank you to everyone that opens their hearts and helps us bring our children home. You are truly blessings to us.

I have a secret…

…that I sooo want to share but can’t at this time. Hopefully, I can share with you all by the end of the week, or early next week. Until then, I can only ask that you pray for our family right now. Please pray for God to give us the strength we need to get through the next week, and peace while we wait. Thank you!

Things are looking up.

We learned that our dossier was finally presented to the ministry of justice on Tuesday. Now we wait for a referral of one or two more children from the ministry before we can move forward. We will most likely be referred a child or two of 5 or 6 years of age. We are excited to get to this point, and still hope we will have our new family members home before Christmas!

Still playing the waiting game

The Ministry of Justice met again today. ¬†They are 10 hours ahead of us, so they are now home with their families, and their days work is behind them. We have no idea what that means for us at this time, but we were told our dossier had been fully translated and ready to present to them. Once they receive it, they will determine if we need to send further paperwork, or if it will stand “as is.” Because we already have one child matched with us, we were told by our US agency that we should receive a referral quickly so we may get this show on the road. We have been approved to adopt up to 3 children, and hope they will allow us to bring 3 home. Because of the new age regulations, we will not be allowed to adopt again from this country, so it is our prayer that we can get as many children home as we have been approved to adopt. I believe we should have the referrals by the end of the month.

I am still advocating and praying for little Irina. She needs a family to step forward and bring her home where she will flourish! If you know of anyone looking to adopt, please consider this wonderful little girl who needs to feel the love and value that parents can give her. Contact ninat@chiadopt.org for more information about this fabulous and beautiful little girl.
